The Top 10 Things I Learned About Volunteering

1. I do not have the time to volunteer.

2. Volunteering requires that you work with people that you are guaranteed not to get along with.

3. I now know what it's like to work like a dog.

4. I now know exactly how tired "dog-tired" really is.

5. I realized that I am a little bit (and will concede to only a "little bit") of a control freak.

6. No matter how many times people tell you that you are doing a good job, you are still not getting paid!?

7. Not everyone puts the same amount of effort into volunteering.

8. Women are near unbearable to work with and pretty much suck at making and sticking to decisions. Although I seem better at this I am not totally taking myself out of this category as A) I am a woman, and B) I often buy two things because I can't decide and then change my mind later.

9. Pulling an All-Niter volunteering is WAY different than pulling an All-Niter for University. You cannot just email or drop off the work and go home to sleep the rest of the day. You actually have to stay up and go to work the next day, regardless. WOW, does that ever suck.

10. I definitely do not have the time to volunteer.
